The Reno River Festival is a whitewater kayaking competition that has grown into Reno’s biggest event in May, with fun for the whole family.

In last week’s Nevada Wild podcast we talked about all of the events celebrating the Truckee River for One Truckee River Month. This week we’re focusing on the Reno River Festival, its importance and growth over the years. Outdoor Education Coordinator Aaron Keller talks about the event with Conservation Education Administrator Chris Vasey, Angler Education Coordinator Jan Nemec, Wildlife Education Coordinator Tricia Dutcher and Public Information Officer Ashley Sanchez.
