Introducing the newly completed Eagle’s Nest state of the art four bedroom luxury beachfront villa located on the unspoilt tropical island paradise of Koh Yao Noi, on the west coast of Thailand, halfway between Phuket and Krabi (www.eaglesnestluxuryvilla.com). The spectacular private villa is located within the stunning Marine National Park of Phang Nga Bay; a seascape of unique limestone islands considered by many to be one of the best views in Asia – the nearby islands were famously used as a setting in the 1974 James Bond film, The Man with the Golden Gun.
Phang Nga Bay is rich in coral and extraordinary dive sites and home to indigenous sea gypsies and protected wildlife.
Accessible only by boat or helicopter and with few private villas, Eagles Nest is an exquisite villa with direct beach access.
Built on half a hectare, it is nestled hidden in the treetops and offers sweeping panoramas and ultimate privacy.
The villa is made up of three pavilions designed with a modern contemporary feel – think Mies van der Rohe meets Robinson Crusoe. The large open-plan main building is the center-point of the villa; designed using clean lines, high ceilings and oozing space and light.
Each suite is named after indiginous birds: Hornbill, Kingfisher, Sea Eagle & Hummingbird. Each boasts beautifully designed ensuite bathrooms. The elegantly restrained designs in each bedroom make use of the natural light and share the same magnificent ocean views.
The Hornbill master Suite opens onto its own private terrace with magnificent vista overlooking the ocean. From your bedroom high in the treetops you will be sharing the view with the giant hornbills who make their home on this island.
The 15 metre long infinity pool stretches the length of the main building. It provides the perfect level of privacy and seclusion while maintaining unobstructed views of Phang Nga Bay. So you will always be swimming with the ultimate Instagram view as the backdrop. The sunken sala at one end, has a large shade umbrella and dining table.
The dedicated onsite staffing team, headed by husband and Yon and Nuna provide extraordinary and authentic cooking; from ocean to plate, all food is prepared and cooked from local ingredients. They also offer chauffeur services using the villa’s own open-air van. The guest relations officer provides concierge service such as organising activities and day trips for guests.
Eagle’s Nest is nestled on a small hill beside the local fishing village and beach of ThaKhao. This beach is essentially untouched, (except for a few traditional fishing boats pulled up on the sand), and ThaKhao Bay offers an interesting mix of beach, jungle and ocean; a picture postcard paradise. From here you can take boat tours to Krabi or nearby islands and sample some of the local foods. A short drive away from the villa you will find many of the island’s best restaurants. The pier with speedboat connections to Phuket is approximately a 15-minute drive.
The island offers Kayaking, cycling, snorkelling and fishing adventures. A popular yoga retreat is a short beach walk away, and private lessons can be arranged. There is exceptional scuba diving in this marine wonderland, which is hailed as one of the world’s best dive sites. Local Thai cooking classes are also available.
Nearby Hong Island is a short boat ride or kayak-paddle away with a inner secret lagoon. Rock climbers enjoy scaling the unique limestone karsts that dot the bay.
The perfect ultra-luxe island escape, Eagle’s Nest is an unparalleled utopia for the sole purpose of making lasting memories.
Prices start at US $750++ in low season up to US$1400++ in high season.
All rates are subject to an additional 10% Service Charge and thereafter a 7% tax (total 17.7%). All bookings have exclusive use of the villa and its facilities.
