Fireworks-Free Fourth of July

The DNR and the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency have worked together for the fourth straight year to offer Fireworks-Free Fourth of July.

Veterans, pet owners and visitors will have an opportunity to camp farther away from traditional community firework displays in several Michigan state parks July 2-6. Visit michigan.gov/fireworksfreefourth.

Cycle Waterloo’s G & G Gravel Road Race

Cycle through the wilds of Lower Michigan’s largest state park March 17. The one-of-a-kind Waterloo G & G Gravel Road Race will wind riders through the park’s 20,000 acres of dirt roads. Ten-mile, 50K and 100K course are available. A portion of the proceeds benefits Waterloo Recreation Area.
